Emily J Events Hair and Makeup was created to help brides feel comfortable, confident and beautiful in their own skin. Every look is built around you. Whether you wear makeup every day or almost never, the goal is to enhance, not transform.
Emily specialises in soft, natural hair and makeup using a carefully selected range of cruelty free products with vegan options available. The focus is always on timeless beauty, not passing trends. While bridal hair and makeup is at the heart of what she does, Emily also offers her calm and expert approach for special occasions, private events, photoshoots and more. Your finished look will feel effortless and elegant, and most importantly, still like you.
Meet Emily
Emily is a fully qualified hair and makeup artist, trained at the London School of Makeup and DFMA. Her early career included work across fashion, events and TV, before choosing to focus solely on weddings.
With formal training from the London School of Makeup, DFMA and hairstyling by Kevin Fortune, Emily brings experience, attention to detail and a warm, reassuring energy to your day.
Her background includes over 10 years of experience working across fashion, TV, film, e-commerce and theatre, giving her a broad understanding of technique, camera-ready finishes and creative styling. Today, she brings all of that knowledge into a calm, personal bridal service. Emily works across Surrey, London, Sussex and Kent, and is happy to travel further with accommodation if your venue is more than two hours away.

Emily has carefully selected her kit using high-performing, cruelty free products to include premium brands that perform beautifully while aligning with her values. This means everything applied on your skin is kind, clean and long lasting with options available to you whether it be vegan, sensitive skin or anything else.
Emily believes in using makeup to highlight what’s already there. Glowing skin, soft eyes, smooth natural finishes. Every detail is chosen to suit your features, your preferences and the feeling you want on your wedding day.

Emily is based in Redhill, Surrey and regularly works with clients across London, Sussex and Kent. She is happy to travel further afield when needed. If your venue is more than two hours away, overnight accommodation is kindly requested.
